Solution
I tried installing/removing ghc, reinstalling from haskell-core, etc.
pacman -Qq | grep haskell | xargs pacman --noconfirm -R
pacman -R ghc
pacman -Syu haskell-xmonad haskell-xmonad-contrib
The xmonad config file can be recompiled.
